The Catania Amigurumi Boxes are ideal for making amigurumi or other items that require a lot of colours in small quantities, such as granny squares or Fair-Isle knitting (for example, Norwegian motifs). A great addition to your own yarn collection, but also nice to give as a gift! Each mini yarn ball weighs 20 grams.

The Catania Amigurumi Box in 03 Dolls contains 25 mini balls of 20-gram Catania yarn in 25 different colours, 1 colour sample card displaying all the 100 available colours of Catania yarn and 1 pattern booklet (in English and German) with crochet patterns for two dolls and various little clothes and accessories designed by Frollein Häkelfein. Fun to play with and mix and match! The box measures 21.5 x 21.5cm.

Catania, Schachenmayr's 100% mercerised cotton yarn, has a wonderfully soft feel, is lightweight and features a gorgeous sheen. Thanks to the breathable quality of cotton, this yarn is ideally suited for knitting and crocheting stylish clothing and accessories, but of course it is also ideal to make baby and toddler toys and amigurumi. Catania is certified in accordance with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label, product class 1, meaning that it is free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use (including newborn babies). In addition, the solid colours (item no. 9801210) have the EN 71-3 quality mark, which indicates that the yarn is suitable for making toys, according to the European safety standard. The yarn is made from 100% mercerised cotton and is washable up to 40°C. The recommended needle size is 2.50-3.50mm (gauge tension: 26 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10cm). One ball of Catania weighs 50 grams and holds approximately 125 metres of yarn.
